Four FFC members participated in this years Bagley Wood Fun Run & Walk on 21 June 2009. Solomon Degefa, Meskerem Ejigu, Liliy S Degefa and Girma Getahun joined scores of ramblers and runners in support of KOA (Kennington Overseas Aid ). The latter, a charity based in Kennington, Oxford, organized the annual event as part of their fundraising activities to support thousands of Zambian orphans throughout their school years. The FFC members participated in the event to support the efforts of KOA as well as to raise fund for FFC.

Organised by Sue Moore‐Shaw on behalf of Friends for Children (FFC) and DJ Alex on behalf African Outreach the family friendly disco party took place on Saturday 13 March 2010 at the spacious hall of St Clements Family Centre, Cross Street, Oxford.

In this regard the children supported under FFC were gathered together on January 29, 2011. This event was unique from all events organized before in nature that representative from the sponsoring organization FFC, representative from Pro-poor, representative from ESAPSO were invited and attended the program. This report is therefore prepared marking the event.
